Description
The Inimbio project contributes to the understanding the societal legitimacy of expansion of the bioeconomy sector in Germany. The growing area under energy crops has motivated an ongoing societal debate about the implications of the growing bioeconomy on agricultural land use and agricultural structures. By means of in-depth case studies and a stakeholder dialogue process the Inimbio project studies the relationship between the increase of the bioeconomy sector and structural diversity in agriculture. It identifies existing and develops new innovative institutional arrangements that ensure both diversity in agricultural structures and participation of small to medium scale agricultural enterprises in the bioeconomy.
